Swiss Authentication - Authentication Marker

Physically authenticate badges, access cards, IDs, top secret documents, and computer equipment. Any device that would have the need of authentication.

Is it obvious which product is real or counterfeit?

Why are current authentication methods inadequate?


·         Current brand protection techniques and methods can be discovered and reverse engineered.

·         The current methods are inadequate – as counterfeiting is pervasive due to its high profitability. The perceived risk of legal consequences are low(for counterfeiters). No products are immune to counterfeiting.

·         Counterfeit parts may not be evident until the product is used, and then the customer may experience substandard experiences, thus opening legal or brand reputation liabilities.

·         Supply chains do not have authentication mechanisms, just inventory control systems.

·         RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) The problem with RFID is that it can be hacked easily; in fact hackers can skim RFID active tags, or can intercept the conversation between a passive tag and a reader. RFID tags allow hackers to intercept information they should not be privy to. The RFID technology was not designed for authentication, only for tracking and even rewriting the code so that parameters of the tag can change as the tagged unit passes from one area to another. And since the parameters can change, that by definition is not a good authentication solution.

·         Packaging design has to change constantly – very expensive, unfortunately package designs can be reverse engineered, more complex designs just take a little longer to reverse engineer, consumer familiarity is reduced.

·         Holograms and inks can be reverse engineered; the holograms can be analyzed and created with the same machines that the “official” printer created.

·         Overt authentication can be reproduced – counterfeiters can see overt authentication like anyone else.

 

Our solution


·         Ease of use requires speed of authentication, the user uses the handheld device with minimal training, easy, quick and accurate to use.

·         Forensic analysis – a device designed for forensic analysis is available (the system has capabilities to reveal the Authentication Marker’s spectrum analysis).

Counterfeiting liabilities


·         If the authentication marker cannot be reverse engineered, that is the key to advanced security! Our lock and key mechanism and our Authentication Marker is manufactured in a manner that cannot be reverse engineered (the Lanthanoid compounds and method of creating the Authentication Marker are proprietary and cannot be reproduced by third parties). To get more detail you have to sign a non-disclosure agreement, so that we can reveal our trade secret. Part of the security is to protect the trade secret from the counterfeiters.

·         Protecting documents with an authentic marker ink provides increased top secret classification authentication.

·         Counterfeited sovereign documents can be used for undocumented infiltrations including potential terrorists

·         The authentication marker is temperature stable(up to 2300°C) does not react with other chemicals or products.

·         Risk managers and company counsel can see the courtroom dangers – if a company does not have an anti-counterfeiting program, and their product is counterfeited, effecting consumers adversely the counterfeited company may get lawsuits as well.

·         Counterfeiting products is the supply chain vulnerability
